Children are important at RUMC. Our goal is to help children develop a strong moral compass, learn about Jesus, and feel included and loved.
We include them at the beginning of the Contemporary (9:00 a.m.) service during the Children’s Moment. Then, they are dismissed to Sunday School classes.
Once a month, we have a Family Worship service at 10:00 am, which is a unique experience.
We started our big fundraiser this month. Please share this picture with the QR code or the link below (copy & paste) in emails or on your social media.
Your friends and family can look through the catalogs and decide if they want to order anything or not - so no pressure!! They can pay online. If they live in Grand Junction, they can choose to have it shipped directly to them (they will need to pay shipping), or they can have it delivered here and pick it up upon arrival.
There are many fun and tasty items in each catalog! If you are looking for a bargain, they also have a Sale Catalog.

Have you ever gone to a meeting or church where you felt like a stranger even though some people said hello but walked away and sat with their friends?
You don’t have to be an official greeter to greet new people. If you are a member of Redlands UMC, the idea of having a group called “greeters” is to provide some structure and schedule people to be at our front doors. These folks are not extraordinary people; they are just willing to commit to being available. We are all the face of RUMC and should reach out to someone we don’t recognize and invite them into your circle of friends.
This week, pray that our Lord will use you to make a new person or family feel more welcome. Greeting our guests does not end at the front door, so remember that you are not nailed to the sanctuary chairs. Introduce yourself and even be willing to sit by them. Make sure that they meet our pastor and your friends, and pray for them during the week.

Are you one who likes to make people feel special and welcome? If so, here is a team you might consider joining. We aim to create a sense of belonging to ensure every visitor, member, and guest feels special and welcome in our church home.
One of the things we do on this team is provide an inviting place for fellowship by providing coffee, treats, and conversation. Our team members take one Sunday a month to provide an inviting environment.
We have a third Sunday need for a helper, and someone to take all four of the fifth Sundays' for this year, and we would love to have subs.
Call or email the office if you would like more information.
Congratulations to Cherlyn Crawford for becoming a Certified Lay Speaker. Pastor Paul Grossman presented her with a personalized Bible.
Serving allows us to actively live out our faith by using our gifts to help others, build community within the church, deepen relationships with God, and discover unique talents. Here is an article that tells about on person's experience in SERVING (4 Reasons to Consider Serving In Church)
If you would like to find out more about what gifts God has given you; take the test in the booklet For the Common Good, on the table by the front door.
